As parents, it’s our job to raise our children to be productive members of society. We teach them respect, honor, and perseverance. I would like you to embark on a journey with me to explore some steps to parent with intention.  It will only take a few minutes of your time. We will look at the tools you have in place and learn how to utilize them differently.

The first step is to decide what your expectations are for your child, and why.  A clean room is not only important for sanitary reasons but it also helps with emotional stability. Wearing appropriate clothing is not only important to stay warm or cool but it also communicates how you are feeling and who you are.

There are many examples of how our expectations are goal driven for our child’s ultimate success. If we fail to explain or to clearly understand, we parent with intuition rather than with intention.

Write some expectations that you have. Brainstorm different reasons why they are important to you, to your child and to your household. Save the list and we will talk about what to do with it in the next step.
